The risk was losing Smith and KC. Falling back on Fitz or a rookie QB. KC was pissed off at Allen and Synder. No way he was going to turn down the same money or even more money from the Broncos or Vikings both winning teams at the time. There is no Bias here. KC was out for money and the best opportunity for him to win. That team was Minn not us.

There was no way he was choosing us over Min. Especially after Minn was in the NFC title game the year before. KC got the most money and the best team to take him to the Super Bowl. It would have taken even more money than Minn to try to get him back here and I bet he still would of left b/c of Allen and Synder.

The Skins knew they couldn't land him that is why there was no offer to him then the trade for Smith was made. It brought us a playoff winning QB. Now it didn't work out but at the time I know why they did it.

you have no idea about that and totatlly discount what KC said to back up your false narrative .

i told you over and over the trade was no good so i figured it out fairly easily

the team pannicked because several free agents and possibly colt could have had us here at 6-5 . hell with KC we are 8-3 and at least competitive in the losses to the saints , falcons and boys

the FO botched the hole thing up period ,

actually winning the division and a playoff game would be success. If we got that call in the Houston game we would have been 7-3. What is wrong with that? So you think losing Smith helps us? Well we will see about that. IMO Colt didn't look good against Dallas.

KC would have done that with this team , we gave up a starter and a draft pick for a lateral transfer which turned out to be a bust and most people who werent vested in getting rid of KC KNEW this shit from the get go

if you watched even a little tape and stopped nursing on the nedia and buying hype you would know this too

now we have 2 over 32 yr old qbs , one broken , and now young qb in the mix . add to it instead of having one hole to fix (qb) we have 2 ,(qb and CB ) and we are in line for a project qb in round one instead of getting ourselves a difference maker or some ILB help

and yeah our cap is in peril too

the thing is colt brought us back vs houston , . smith had no comebacks AT ALL , NOT EVEN a LEAD CHANGE . with CDC in there houston cruises to victory much like the colts did . 2 wins KC gets us hands down

This was in part due to radio station moron Chris Russell's rant and his hate for the Redskins because Allen fired him from ESPN 980. This was covered by a later show host and also mentioned Russell's well known bias probably hurt the show that DJ does a guest radio slot on.

If you are getting your Richard stomped in the dirt 4 or 5 weeks in a row there ought to be a little more seriousness during practice/walk throughs. I am with DJ in that regard.

Don't mince words. It is the worst trade in the Daniel Snyder era.

I bashed the trade as the worst in Snyder's era before Smith was injured. The injury simply put the final stank on it.
Since we are talking first, I made mention first that AS was holding back the offense, like after week 4 and he was.
