All you have to do is prove that Barry Bonds would have still hit all of those home runs at the expense of other teams and players that were not cheating.

PROOF?

EVIDENCE?

DOCUMENTATION?

FACE IT - YOU DON'T HAVE SHIT

I think you need to take it into acct. Bonds first 7 years didnt have more than 34 HRs. to compare properly you should probably take Barrys avg per year from his first seven years and then expand that to over the course of his career and his RBI walk and HR will be a lot lower.
I don't understand why you'd only look at his first 7 years.

So, I guess this board has the anti-TrueNiners. Unless, of course, he is TrueNiners and this is the latest incarnation of his character.

Because once he went to San Fran you can tell that his HR and BB started to skyrocket most likely because of PED use.
Is this a joke? It's extremely well established that he began using PEDs in 1999 in response to all the attention McGwire and Sosa got.

His HR totals also didn't skyrocket in 1993. He was in his prime. Most players have their highest home run totals in their prime, last I checked. You also neglect to realize that HR rates began to increase leaguewide in 1994, and that the National League expanded by two teams in 1993.

I swear, I get turned off by these boards more and more every day. It's amazing how many completely uninformed people post here.

I really don't care when each player began using ped's and when he stopped. The fact that a player used ped's means that his record is tainted. Tainted data in a scientific experiment is normally disregarded. subsequently McGwire, Bonds, Sosa and the many others should be permanently banned from the hall of fame and their records should be completely discounted. I personally will never consider Bonds to be anything but a cheater

This says it all right here about yourself. You don't care about the truth because records tells us exactly what happened. The fact remains that Bonds was a nobody without the drugs. The drugs may have perfectly legal, but they were not legitimate to the spirit of the games and it was cheating
Records tell us exactly what happened? Okay then:

Home Runs
1. Barry Bonds: 762
2. Hank Aaron: 755
3. Babe Ruth: 714
4. Willie Mays: 660
5. Alex Rodriguez: 649
6. Ken Griffey Jr: 630
7. Jim Thome: 612
8. Sammy Sosa: 609
9. Frank Robinson: 586
10. Mark McGwire: 583

Look, the records showed me exactly what happened! You were right!

AS I said before, Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire are not legitimate record holders in that list - their numbers are tainted

Don't forget Hank Aaron, who took amphetamines, a drug that currently carries a 50-game suspension in MLB. I mean, we can revise history and bash Bonds for doing something that wasn't against the rules at the time, how about Aaron?

In another thread, Smarter posted a good article from deadspin . http://www.sportshoopla.com/forums/...iscussion/110270-good-piece-ped-hysteria.html This is the one line that gets me: "Nor is it obvious why taking PEDs is considered highly objectionable but taking cortisone to play through terrible knee or back injuries is considered part of the game."

Why doesn't anybody talk about this? Cortisone is a Performance Enhancing Drug, whether it's on the banned list or not. It helps players compete when they ordinarily would not be able to. Same could be said for tylenol, pepto bismol, etc. It's just like the article says, total hysteria.

You really are an asshat, ya know? You say the dumbest shit everyday and get laughed at constantly. Do you enjoy being stupid? Tell ya what, Ricky Retardo, Kobe Bryant shouldn't have any rings cause HE uses PED's and he's a rapist. Suck on that.

Never heard that one before, but if it can be proven that he took the amphetamines over several years and it helped his game, then I say yes - disqualify his numbers. I support pure honest numbers without tainted numbers from cheats. I have no vested interest in Hank Aaron.

I am not sure that Amphetamines really helped him more then it hurt in though - Amphetimines is like speed that wears off and leaves the person depressed afterwards as memory serves me, not like the ped's that helps build muscles

2. Hank Aaron: 755 - 234 without Amphetimines
3. Babe Ruth: 714

5. Alex Rodriguez: 649

9. Frank Robinson: 586
10. Mark McGwire: 583 183 without peds.

Now take a look at how the list would have looked like

So you don't care that amphetamines were perfectly legal in baseball back then?

I don't see your list in the record books, I just see the list I put there. Like you said, records tell us exactly what happened. Facts.

I've never heard about Hank Aaron and Amphetamines, but Hank Aaron was before my time - I was younger and didn't watch baseball, but as you said - if he did, I have no problem disqualifying his numbers from the books - None at all. I am a purist

The list is not regarded as accurate by baseball fans. You would have a hard time finding a fans other then Giants fans of course who are too retarded to care, that would regard Bonds in any light other then a cheat
