Surprised by frequency of blitzing?

Seemed to me that we blitzed more often that I recall a Denver defense blitzing in quite a long time. It was often effective, particularly after the first quarter (which coincidentally(?) was after Oher left the game with an injury). I thought that we did a good job of blitzing different players from different spots, but I'm just curious about whether we should expect to become more of a blitzing team this year than we've been recently and whether it will be effective. Blitzing, of course, can be risky (e.g., in the '05 AFCCC game).

I think the blitzing will slow down once Von Miller makes his return.

I think another part of it was the fact that with DRC taking T-Smith completely out of the game and Jacoby Jones catching some friendly fire, they were down to B-Stokes and Dallas Clark as their main weapons in the pass game......don't think we respected that all that much and figured we would pressure Flacco into making mistakes. Which is exactly what he did.
