Has anyone gone to see The Dark Knight Rises yet? The wife and I are supposed to make it this weekend. Expectations are up!

IMAX is great, but I've fallen in love with the AMC near me that has "Cinema Suites". 21+ only, full food and drink service at your seat, the seat is a BIG leather recliner, you reserve your seat ahead of time, and there are only like 15-20 seats in the theater. No one sits close, reserved means I can show up at the last second and get a prime seat, no kids, and fewer people around to annoy me. It costs like $12 a ticket, but totally worth it considering I rarely can get out to see a movie. Food ain't worth it though, nasty stuff.

The price for IMAX is close to double what the local theater around me charges. The other nice thing about it (Studio Movie Grille in Alpharetta) is that they serve beer during the movie. Beer>IMAX for this SoB.

The benefit of this one in true IMAX is the amount of it actually shot in IMAX. Avengers & Prometheus is just bigger on the IMAX screen, but not shot with an IMAX camera. This is an actual IMAX experience.

That's exactly what we have. Dinner's only about $10 a plate too. I love it.

Here is their sites link about the cinema suite. They have another, fork and screen, but the seats aren't recliners and it is 18+ unless parent is with the kid. More people as well

The way ours is layed out, the back rows all have the leather recliners. The 'bar seats' as I call them have those office chair thingys.

There is everything. I ordered Makers and coke and it was actual makers, not some idiot trying to pass Jack as Makers like most places.

i am aware .... I just thought those worked on Imax big screen even though they were not made for it.

$12?

Thats how much a regular movie is here. IMAX 3d is like $16. Something like you are describing would probably be like $20-25.
