Has anyone gone to see The Dark Knight Rises yet? The wife and I are supposed to make it this weekend. Expectations are up!
I'm going to wait mid week and see it in the afternoon.
Yep. As much as I really want to see this, I hate a full movie theater.
IMAX it, fellas. And make sure it's not that fake IMAX crap.
IMAX is great, but I've fallen in love with the AMC near me that has "Cinema Suites". 21+ only, full food and drink service at your seat, the seat is a BIG leather recliner, you reserve your seat ahead of time, and there are only like 15-20 seats in the theater. No one sits close, reserved means I can show up at the last second and get a prime seat, no kids, and fewer people around to annoy me. It costs like $12 a ticket, but totally worth it considering I rarely can get out to see a movie. Food ain't worth it though, nasty stuff.

I want this place....do more exist?!
It's an AMC, I'm sure they do. Studio Movie Grill gets close with service and reserved seats, but they are just like generic high back office chairs.
is there beer?
The benefit of this one in true IMAX is the amount of it actually shot in IMAX. Avengers & Prometheus is just bigger on the IMAX screen, but not shot with an IMAX camera. This is an actual IMAX experience.
Don't be fooled...
