Again, if Blackburn and Gronk are 25 yards past the nearest secondary member, your biggest fear is overthrowing him. That wasn't a super solid throw, and it wobbled a bit, but he put the ball in position for it to be a jump ball between an All-Pro TE and a backup linebacker. That's his job as a QB. Gronk's job is to make the play.

I agree that it’s Gronkowski’s job to make the play, but given his ankle injury, and the fact that a LB almost his size was covering him, I don’t know if it was the best decision. But given that, it really didn’t hurt them. Basically a punt close to the goal line. You have to take a few chances here and there to win a big game like this.
