It’s unfortunate that the Niners and especially Shanahan have the reputation as choke artists, because I think overall Shanahan is a good coach, but I understand the criticism of him, and he deserves some of it. He made some questionable calls tonight, particularly not running the ball in the 3rd quarter when Purdy wasn’t playing well and they had the lead. This wasn’t so much a choke as it was just Mahomes being phenomenal, but he does deserve some criticism, just like he deserves criticism for what happened in Super Bowl 54, in the NFC Title a couple of years ago against the Rams and when he was Falcons OC in Super Bowl 51. I think Shanahan is a good coach overall, but he does have some choke artist in him.
