My wife works with a grip of 9ers fans here, so I've been catching crap all week lol...

I think this game is a toss-up, but I guess we'll see how it shakes out Sunday...

Think it's less about making fun of air yards and more about dispelling the notion that Purdy is some game manager that dinks and dunks.

For me I just bring up Mahomes when it comes to Purdy when people talk about how he'll do when he gets paid and the stats goes down because has less talent as those people will be the first to say I told you he was carried by the talent when the numbers drop.

This year is Mahomes' worse year as a starter in terms of the numbers but I don't think he's gotten worse at being a QB but the talent around him has declined.

I do think it's worth pointing out with Mahomes that generally when QBs have MVP caliber years that there is naturally some regression regardless of who the QB is or surrounding talent.

Best on best in this matchup should be the Niners O and Chiefs D regardless of the narratives around QBs.

I'm continuing with the take that the Niners have more talent than the Chiefs, especially at the key playmaking positions. But the Chiefs have Mahomes, the great equalizer.

I definitely think McCaffrey will - he’s a major part of the Niners offense both rushing and receiving. In fact I’m picking CMC to be the MVP of the game. I’m curious as to how much the Chiefs will run it and how successful they’ll be - they ran the ball well in Super Bowl 57 against the Eagles.
