They best us worse than that last year.... somehow we still made it to the super bowl and they didn't. At least you can be sure the cardinals don't have a chance in hell of doing that.

supers I am having trouble figuring out your stance, please enlighten me. Which of these phrases better describes your feelings after the game?

"We got beat down by our rivals but it doesn't matter because last year we made the super bowl and they didn't."

Or

"We got beat down by our rivals but it doesn't matter because the same thing happened last year and we still made the super bowl."

Are you hangng your hat on last year or on a bad loss? Your above statement could be interpreted either way.

This is my stance...

Congratulations on winning your second super bowl in two years. Don't forget we had a miserable showing in Seattle last year and still did better in the NFL. In fact Seattle beat us last year worse and look how that turned out.

But I would gloat too if we beat you guys up like that, so go ahead, you deserve it. Just saying the larger ramifications of this game are very minor in regards to our goals of reaching the super bowl again.... unless we lose to the seahawks a second time and/or we have to play in Seattle during the playoffs (that would suck).

There you have it, my stance.

Well, I'm happy the Hawks won and their defense showed everyone out here that they are the real deal. But, it is still only week 2 and they have to put this in the rear view mirror and get the offense clicking. Of course, the Niner defense is good too and the Panther defense is pretty tough on the road so maybe Wilson and co. will get better. Having said that, Marshawn Lynch and the power running game looked pretty good last night. The Niners looked worn out by the second half and were being pushed around a bit. Part of that was because Kaep and Gore were doing nothing on the other side. Just shows how much of a "team" game this is. This is nice for Seattle fans but nothing really to gloat about. We can beat anybody with the best "home-field" advantage in the league and we need to win a bunch of road games this year so we can have that come play-off time. If the road to the Super Bowl comes through Seattle, it will be hard for anyone to stop us. This means we have to win in SF when we go there later in the season. Right now, we have just held serve.

yep

Sherman-Harbaugh-butt-slap.gif

That video makes sherman look like the tool he is, since he goes to the media and tells a story about harbaugh ignoring him, and harbaugh says someone tapped him and he turned and saw richard sherman running away.... You can clearly see harbaugh saying something and gesturing to Sherman... maybe he is saying, "you got issues Dick".

That video supports harbaugh's version and really makes Sherman look like an jerk wad.... again.

Harbaugh wishes he had Sherman on his defense.

I have to admit, the last place I want to play a playoff game.... Seattle. I will take lambaugh over that place any day.

Sherman knows.

Sherman knows who Vance McDonald is now though.... When he ran right over him and planted him on his ass. Which was funny because Sherman was acting pretty tough after his hit on little Kyle Williams.

I have to admit, Sherman had a great game though. Really all of Seattles secondary was outstanding last night and thats tough for me to admit because I think Sherman is the biggest pile of human garbage in the NFL.

As for Sherman, yeah, every fan of other teams hate the guy and he talks trash and acts the fool but the guy backs it up on the field. He took Boldin completely out of his game last night and there isn't a coach in football who wouldn't want this guy on his team (including Harbaugh). The guy is one of the best DB's in the game and his "trash-talk" is at least colorful and clever. He is also quick to credit his team-mates for a job well done. That whole defense played well last night.

I have no problem with Sherman running his mouth on the field. Its just the negative stuff he says about individual players like AJ Green that rubs me the wrong way. Its totally unnecessary, show some respect for the game, there is not reason to trash obviously good players who don't talk shit in the media.

The only time I thought Sherman was a true asshole was when he was on First Take. Other than that I like his trash talk on the field.

I think everyone agrees AJ Green is a hell of a WR.

Of course Sherman needs to try to publicly diss him.... These words are from Sherman's rookie year.

"He’s probably one of the most overrated receivers out there," Sherman said. "He wasn’t anything special. Dalton is a good quarterback, he makes good decisions, but AJ Green is just a lot of noise talking and bad routes."

Its just unnecessary.

Wow, never heard that one. He definitely tries to make headlines and get under people's skin. Keeps his match-ups on the field interesting. But I agree with AJ being a beast. Too bad they don't face each other this year.

Who's talking about the Cardinals? Did I say they would make a push for the Superbowl? :lame:

The fact of the matter is you can't suck it up and give credit where credit is due. Seattle has owned the niners the past couple of times they played. In your world, for the niners, it was just a game and for Seattle it was their Superbowl.

BTW - You seem to be very proud about the niners losing the Superbowl last year. Congrats for that. And no need to reach into your "remember the glory days" bag and pull out the Superbowl rings from a couple of decades ago. It makes you look desperate.
