Yes. Spruill has been unlucky, but he is still getting squared up a lot by the Mets and throwing way too many balls. Even some outs have been hit pretty hard.

Kudos to Gibby making the move before Spruill gave up more!

He was unlucky for sure, but not a great start and a lot of high stress pitches.....

It's probably a little on Tuffy, but he wasn't really locating his pitches. Way too many balls thrown, combined with bad D behind him really hurt.


Also Fuck the Padres.

I am not a fan of a rookie catcher calling the game for a rookie pitcher.....I get the whole argument that they worked together in the minors, but this is the majors and they are both trying to figure stuff out at this level.....just not a fan of them trying to figure out the highest level of baseball at the same time.....
