It takes longer for local kids to come around to the fact that ASU is building something special.. And you can't blame them, they've been watching this program underachieve for awhile under previous staffs. We're getting better and better everyday, but they need to be reinforced that from our staff.. Look at Davonte Neal, the grass isn't always greener.

Korey Rush decommited. Rumor is the coaching staff re-evaluated his value and decided they wanted more scholarships in this class. He was offered a grey shit and declined. The writing was on the wall after he took a visit to Illinois.

Apparently they also aren't pushing too hard for Lazarus anymore either. It looks like the staff is set on filling the final 8 spots with some big time prospects and keeping guys like Rush and Lazarus available as fall-backs.

Interesting. I've always wondered how that works. Sucks, but that's life. We signed 6 D-lineman last cycle and Graham said in his press conference that we will always over recruit D-Lineman. So far we only have Humphreys. Smallwood looks likely after his decommitment from USC. Pelon is probably unlikely. I wonder if there are any others? We really need O-lineman. Delp and Tucker would be huge.

Neal's biggest reason for leaving was to be closer to his little girl.

It'll only take about 100 scholarship players to beat ND next year. We lose a lot, but bring in a top-25 recruiting class. I fully expect the Irish to not put up much of a "fight" against ASU in Tempe. You're lucky it's so late in the year and it won't be 120* at kickoff.

They Notre Dame wouldn't schedule a game in that kind of climate, Notre Dame have been bringing top 25 classes in for years so that doesn't always mean a darn thing. Also 100 is 15 more scholarships than you'll have so maybe the FIGHTING IRISH will have plenty of fight for ASU.

Big day in recruiting. DB DeAndre Scott committed. Most sites had him at 3 stars but he has an impressive offer sheet.

DJ Calhoun submitted his paperwork to enroll early and his teammate Jalen Harvey is also considering it. This is huge because both will get all offseason to learn the systems and work with coach Griz, and it potentially opens up two more spots in the class.

Tashon Smallwood also stated that he is 100% planning to go to ASU but is waiting to commit until his parents can meet the coaches. That is scheduled to happen in December. He was at the Oregon State game.

Bryce Dixon visiting for UA game, Eric Lauderdale seems to favor us, Baley has us in his final 2, and Tucker still seems interested... This is getting very very interesting... With these extra spots Lorig is leaving open I'm beginning to wonder if we're going to see some BIG surprises? Maybe something like a Mixon (friends with Calhoun).

He was very high on ASU after his visit. I expect a commitment from him any day now.

I'm also pretty confident JC RB De'chavon Hayes will choose ASU over Oklahoma and USC. He runs a 4.4 and is being recruited to return kicks and potentially take over Foster's role in the slot next year. He was at the Territorial Cup as well.

I wouldn't blame Lewis if he transferred. He deserves a year to be the feature back somewhere and he won't get that at ASU. If we hold on to Williams, who was promised playing time next season, Lewis might potentially get less touches next year than he has this year.

They're also looking to get 2 more RBs in the class. Dechavon Hayes is a JC recruit and would be used as a kick returner and would most likely take over DJ's position in the slot. Kalen Ballage is a kid I really like. He's 6-2 215 and runs a 4.39 40.

Eriquel Florence and Anthony Longino were the two JC LBs in last year's class. I don't know anything about Florence but Longino played with the second team this year.
