Devils advocate: You can stay at the bottom - we won't!

Exactly. We were in a handful of games to barely get beat. That’s with the leagues 2 worst QB’s and 2 of our best defenders out a majority of the year. I don’t think we are a playoff contender yet. But I think 8-9 is feasible.

The 49ers signed Pearsall this week. Aiyuk will get a mega contract from the 49ers .....IF.......they can cut a deal for Deebo Samuel.

That's where the Patriots might be able to make an offer that the 49ers cannot refuse. 2025 2nd. That pick will be between 33 and 39.

He's got a hefty contract and one has to wonder if Wolfe has the testicles for such a deal.

I can hear the conversation. "Please, you can spare a bag of balls." "No can do, we only have bags of new balls, maybe at the end of the year".

“… It would take an offer San Francisco couldn’t refuse. If New England wanted to ship out a package like cornerback Christian Gonzalez and a 2025 first-round pick, the 49ers would certainly listen.”

That sounds really steep. I believe Pats need to rebuild more slowly. Let’s see what we have so far. Don’t believe for a second that a #1 WR will be useful until the QB, O-line issues are sorted out.

Trade a young top rate CB and a 1st for a young top rate WR...

Nope.

Especially as our D was the strong point last year, the WR and QB groups are definitely improved and the biggest weak point is Oline.

Agree with this, just say no.

Gonzo has the potential to be a shutdown corner for years to come. It's harder to find a stud corner than it is a WR.

Well unless you're the NEP FO

As they say, offense wins games, defense wins titles.

A strong offense is needed to get to the big game, but a weak defense will lose it.

But how do you win titles without winning games?
1) Sign the best FA's that you can attract and afford.

2) Cut or trade dead weight

3) Draft well. Easier said than done.

4) Ex-Lax drip into visiting teams water supply.

Picking on someone a year after something happened is very easy. This article is quite funny but if you knew then what you know today, blah, blah, blah. This guy looked that the 2023 Patriots NFL Draft and came up with the best players at those draft positions. He believes that BB would still be here if he could have seen the future. BB certainly didn't do all that bad, but if..............................................................

I like a couple of the picks.

Jayden Reed and Dawand Jones specifically.
