I appreciate athletes accepting responsibility, and I think it's good of him to try and take the weight of this teams struggles. It's what good players and leaders do. It's what Marty did earlier. It's what Patty did in the press, and most likely what he did by calling that players only meeting.

I just hope he doesn't put so much of this on his shoulders that he struggles.

imo if this team can win 2 in a row it will drastically change their outlook on the rest of the season.

The out look on the rest of the season should remain the same. The Devils need to win 6-7 in a row just to be in a position to fight for a playoff spot. They are the designated backup team so I think they can get in that position. It all depends how they play if they ever get out of the designated backup role.

Tonight wasn't as good as the Caps game, energy-wise not just the score. But a win is a win...for now.

We should win tonight, just hope the guys don't take this game lightly and focusing on tomorrow's game with the Isles struggling like they are.
Then tomorrow, we have to put in a great effort and earn some points off a hot Philly team right now. If they can do this, then I think this team has finally turned the corner and worked out their woes that seem to be showing on the ice at the start of this season.
