I wonder why they don't give Melky the rest and then put Blanco in LF? I know Blanco has been struggling with the bat, but putting a guy who is struggling with the bat and taking away his amazing defense at DH seems counter-productive to me.....especially when Melky's hammy seems tender.

I don't think this warrants its own thread. I don't think Giants would trade for a SP, especially with Wandy's price tag. I wonder if they think Barry or Timmy (or both) will be ineffective SPs for us down the stretch?

From everything I've read, they're going to eat most of, if not all of Wandys salary to get the best return possible. Don't really see us selling one of our top guys for a 33 year old 3-4 starter.
