Not as skewed as believing every team needs to pass 4 out of every 5 plays to maximize their off firepower. .

While all true, these stats may be a bit skewed in that these teams go run heavy once they are up in the game to eat up the clock. Yet another reason why a good team needs a running game.

exactly. i'm sure if you break down 'when' these offenses are running the ball, it will be run heavy in the 2nd half after they've built up the lead.

Your break down is what's broke down, homey. There's no denying the NFL is on the horizon of a 4:1 pass/run ratio. Its not quite there yet. After 4 weeks NFL teams as a whole averaged running the ball just under 40%. That would be an NFL record for an all time low if it stands. Still double what you claimed.

Unfortunately though its coming. It's ironic in a funny way. The USFL, the WFL and the XFL all tried and failed to compete against/with the NFL. But it was a farm league/all city league type outfit, Arena Football, that got the NFL to bow the fuck down and start all this bullshit..

Still, even with that trend going the way it is. There are multiple teams in the NFL that from a personnel standpoint. Just aren't built for that type of 4 to 1 pass to run scheme the Skins being among said teams.

Well the numbers suggest that passing that often should at least be considered.
