i read that already ... porter aint ready for the sharks
I'm of the belief that it has nothin to do with him being ready or not. It's as simple as Tomlin directing the focus of this team on the road ahead. Nothing good can come from a team stuck on a prior game, playoffs or not.

The dumb Beach needs to comply or pack his shit!!!!

I like how he believes in himself, but I think he is going to price himself out of Pittsburgh this offseason. AVill made him expendable. I was really hoping that he would be open to moving back inside to take Foster's spot.

This is a team sport and you need to do for the teams needs....
Not to mention he is just making himself a one dimensional player....
And how many times have we seen good talent leave the Burgh only to beg to get back in a few short years later!!!!

Truth. If he does go elsewhere and PIT wins the SB a few times within the next 5 years then I guarantee that he'll look back on this and regret it.

I know Munchak loves the kid, so maybe they will throw another offer on the table. Doubt it will be as high as the original that he rejected last offseason.

Also worth pointing out that if Beach refuses to make the switch and PIT doesn't want him back as a LT because of AVill, then it makes resigning Foster a pretty big priority. Wallace & Hubbard are capable starters already under contract, but with Pouncey's injury history I'd rather have the insurance of a quality starter like Foster in the fold.

Beachum rules out move to guard, with Steelers or anyone else

Very discouraging to hear this... Well it was nice knowin you Beach!

When you consider this guy has made peanuts the last 4 seasons when his counterpart on the less heralded side was cashing checks valued a bunch more than Beach...I can't blame him.

He's earned LT money, why take OG money now? IDK how much PIT offered, but he felt like he could do better...I get that....However it works out for Beach...I wish him well.

As it stands now...the Steelers have about $148 mil UC for '16 (51 roster spots) and about $8 mil under the projected salary cap...so not a ton of cash available....it looks as if C. Allen will only save about $1.7 mil...They have to get Timmons $15 mil cap hit down somehow, mentioned DeCastro looks fairly easy to extend and bring his CH down...once Kahn get's done working his magic they should have enough to get Foster into a market rate contract.

Again, this can and probably will change, but as of today...the Steelers rank 8th of 32 teams committing $29 mil in cap space to the OL...that's about 19.5%...with a HOF position coach on board, don't be shocked to see them go after Vadal Alexander from LSU or Joshua Garnett in the 2nd rd.
