I'm surprised that nobody has posted this already… But if you haven't heard yet, one of the "founding fathers" of this organization, Bill Nunn passed away yesterday.

For those of you that aren't familiar with the name, Bill Nunn was a sportswriter turned scout in Pittsburgh. He was part of the recruiting team that was responsible for the 70's which put this organization on the map. Officially, he was the assistant personnel director during that time but he was heavily involved in the scouting process. He has been with the Steelers for all 6 Super Bowl titles. Also inducted into Canton in 2011.

This organization is officially in mourning…

Dunn - Another Steeler Legend...RIP

Good pick up Face...Saw the article this morning...I knew of Dunn from the Noll era, but did not realize he'd spanned that many years.

Despite receiving strong reviews for an excellent draft & great FA acquisitions the Steelers fell 3 spots in the ESPN offseason power rankings.
ESPN.com Power Rankings: Pittsburgh Steelers No. 17 - ESPN

I know, I know... Doesn't mean diddly... But still a head scratcher! Ashley Fox? Who in the hell? She ranked us #19th... pffft!

Mike Munchak thinks Steelers offensive line could be 'special' - Behind the Steel Curtain

I sure hope so. They finished strong last season so I expect them to build upon that success. If they don't improve with Munchak as their coach then I don't see how they could ever improve lol. They need to learn as much as they can, and as fast as they can… Because who knows how long Munchak will stay with us. He will likely field HC job offers again someday.

Hearing from Lake, Mitchell, Butler

Lake... As stated before he has high hopes for the CB's this year. He claims that Blake was a great prospect out of last year's draft that was pretty much used incorrectly by JAX. Sub 4.3 speed certainly doesn't hurt his case!

Mitchell... Talks about the depth in place along the line. Loves that he has an arsenal of rotational type players in Thomas, McLendon & even Tuitt. Didn't mention anything about McCullers yet... Probably won't dive into that until he sees more action during OTA's.

Butler... Talks about the effect that J. Porter will have on J. Jones. Wants to see Jarvis have the certain "Barn Boss" attitude that Porter had. Also talked about Jones' improvements. No talk of Shazier or anyone else.

Hawthorne signed in the CFL:
Winnipeg Blue Bombers sign ex-Steelers CB Terry Hawthorne - Behind the Steel Curtain

They must have not liked what they saw when they brought him back in to kick the tires this offseason. I'm surprised that I didn't hear a peep around the city about his possible return. I knew of PIT's interest but I didn't hear anything about his checkup/workout/etc. It's possible that they sent a scout to check in on him and they didn't like what they saw. Oh well! Wish him luck!

AB is receiving lots of praise this offseason!

Terrell Owen's shared his thoughts on his favorite WR's in the NFL:
Terrell Owens breaks down his top players - NFL Videos

In short... He listed Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall, and Antonio Brown as his top 3 receivers.
I think it is awesome that he is getting the respect he deserves all around the league. Recently AB was ranked #23 on NFL Network's top 100 players! Placed ahead of WR's like Dez Bryant, Brandon Marshall, Larry Fitzgerald, Demaryius Thomas, etc. He is one of the hardest working guys in the league and he was a 6th round draft pick. I'm glad to see that he is getting recognition for all that work he puts in.
