Exactly... So long as the offense is droppin 30+ we should have a good shot at winning any game. At least for the time being until the defense gets healthy.

It all revolves around Ben. Don't matter who the WR is... Ben drops dimes and makes anyone a top end WR. I think the scariest injury is to Marcus Gilbert. If he's out for any extended period of time then I'd fear for Ben.

This muddies up the waters quite a bit... Senquez Golson was headed to IR-recall, but now with Bud's injury it could mean Golson goes on IR for the entire season. The team could choose to carry Golson while he heals, but they would have to be very confident that he will heal and contribute in some way. Else they would be forced to release him if injuries occur. But they do have safety in the form of Davis & Golden. Both of whom have played slot CB in big-nickel packages. Another downside to this is Grant may not make his way back onto the roster. With the team not picking Grant up on the PS, it would lead me to believe that he was going to be signed back when the roster position opens up... But damn this is quite the problem they have.

Yeah this sucks, but as of today Golson has not been placed on IR...starting to look like he won't be...Chick and Moats man the left side...hopefully Dupree will be ready to go...seems like they waited a long time to make this surgery decision though.

WTF...I get off the golf course today and seems like the team is f-iing falling apart...fingers crossed this is minor.

Yeah this sucks, but as of today Golson has not been placed on IR...starting to look like he won't be...Chick and Moats man the left side...hopefully Dupree will be ready to go...seems like they waited a long time to make this surgery decision though.

I agree... My guess is that they kept thinking his injury was more minor than it was so they tested him every week. Could have made it worse at some point. But whatever the case, it seems like he suffered a set back and the quickest road to recovery was going under the knife.

Pretty interesting how intent the Steelers are on finding a RB right now. Bell is only suspended for 3 games. With D-Will, Toussaint & Richardson in the fold I thought they were set. Wonder what gives?

Well a couple of things may have been at play. One, I think Golson maybe healing quicker than expected so they decided to keep him on the active roster. Two, once they traded for Gilbert, maybe depth wise they could afford to let Grant go....they had an opportunity to add him back to the PS and chose to go with Shabazz...I must add that some have questioned carrying 2 RBs on the PS instead of 2 CBs, but that's a debate for another day.

Plus 2 on the PS...maybe protection against Bell staying clean/healthy and a 30+ y/o backup staying healthy as well.
