Supposed to get another 20-30 CMs on Sunday. :L

Oh well. Here's a video from not too far from here. It features a cat so it's sure to be an internet sensation.

The bell was a good call...just imagining the cat plunking into the snow and having to burrow out.

Here's a much cooler video in my opinion (sorry cat lovers).

It starts slow but from about 25-60 seconds it's pretty cool. Then nothing special for the next last 2 minutes.

I saw this today. Didn't realize it was that bad!

Over the past five winters, an average of 2,711 truckloads of snow were removed from across Saint John. Over the last two weeks, crews have removed more than 18,000 truckloads!

It isn't just that there has been a lot of snowfall this year compared to others, but it's also been a much colder than winter than usual, so none of this snow is melting away. Usually there's 1 or 2 days a week above freezing and some snow melts but that hasn't happened at all in the past few weeks. Usually at least 1 of these snowfalls would have been rain too. When it finally does start to melt, it's not going to be pretty, especially if there is a heavy rainfall.

I guess this isn't a great time to tell you it's sunny and 10 degrees Celsius out here in Burnaby and the forecast for tomorrow is sunny and 13 degrees.

i didnt want to be that guy ... that douchebRag ... however I cant resist now that youve opened the door wide open lol

on Sunday when it was sunny and 16 C the family went out to the inlaws place in South Surrey to pick up their mail since they were out of town. They live off the 17th green of a golf course so i was able to sneak on the green and putt around in between groups that were teeing off ... made sure to stetch out those neglected snow shovelling muscles in the back

Hahaha I don't think it's any big secret that the west coast has nicer weather than the east coast, especially this time of year.

Actually, as extraordinary as winter has been in your neck of the woods, its been just as crazy here. The other way though

This isnt the norm. We havent had a cold snap since december. U guys got all ghe snow it would seem. The local ski mountains of vancouver are all on standby. During the olympics in 2010, it was unusually warm and there was talk they eould have to truck in snow to cypress mountain from manning park 150 kms east of us

Manning park ski resort never opened forbusiness this year due to lack of snow.

We're expected to top out at 21 here today and hit 7 overnight. That's highly unusual for us, considering that the normal low for this time of year is about 34.

Our dog usually dilly dallies (as the youngest says) on the evening event. She likes being outside at night. But since we haven't been above freezing in two weeks, she is like the Flash. Out - bizness - run to the door to go back in.

Smart dog. Normally we let my dog out back and I can just stand by the door but since he is an older guy now we take him out front for the last couple times each night to save him some stairs. You would think he would repay our kindness by hurrying but not so much.
