"The early over-under on wins, as set by Betmgm.com, has the Jets at 5.5 games, right around the mark they had last season where they finished with a 5-12 record. That would put them at the bottom of the AFC East again,"

Makes sense. Fields isn't an upgrade at QB and they haven't really done much else to add to this roster. Throw in Bills and Patriots for sure look much better on paper than the Jets and Miami still has some talent so Jets look like bottom of the barrel in the division.

Miami is in trouble. Yes they have weapons but still no O-line.
They are weak at D-back.
One bad snap that hits Tua's head........

[Cooks] “I necessarily don’t want to talk about it right now... just let the business take care of the business,” he said. He also added that he understands the team’s position but left open the possibility of a holdout.

How about entering the 21st Century? Not Cooks. The Bills.

NFL teams have somehow come to the conclusion that running backs are like weeds in a garden. They believe that there are more of them than the flowers that you planted and for some reason they keep coming back. The position requires the player's body to be more physically abused than any other position on a football team yet everyone attempts to ignore it.

I hope he holds out and the Bills think that they can replace him. You know and I know that the guy who's going to pay is Josh Allen. Allen is going to get clocked and the Bill's will be calling Cooks to give him his demands, but Allen will be in surgery and the Bills will be in the toilet. Then the fake media will blame Cooks and the owner will fire the HC for not having more pieces in place.

It's an annual demeaning of a running back. Hell, the Ravens just gave Henry an additional 2 year extension because they know that Lamar can't do it alone. The remedy is one of two things. Buy some Roundup and kill the weed or accept the fact that you will have the weeds and keep cutting them and allowing the roots to survive.

Henry also ran for 1900 yards last year, the second most of his career.
Cook (not Cooks) ran for 1000 last year and 1100 the year before.

Why we have two solid CBs now. Why take on that contract?
As Bill Belichick used to say, you can't have enough CB's.
What's better than two really good CB's? 3 top tier CB's.
Get an offense backed up where you know they have to throw, shut them down with an absolutely scary secondary.

Besides, we have WAY to many WR's and a huge amount of cap space still.

Not that I see this happening but, if it did that NE defense could certainly be a top 5 D. I'd be in for moving a couple of those WRs
