Power schedule came out today. It had Boofalow highest, followed by NE, Miami, and lastly the Jets.
I expect the Patriots to climb in the rankings, Miami to fall and Buffalo will depend on how they do in division......

I'm with you. I think Buf still takes the div and the other three are only separated by a couple games with NE getting the WC

Buffalo Bills

Biggest needs: WR, S, CB
Buffalo addressed cornerback in the first round of the draft with Kentucky’s Maxwell Hairston, but the depth behind the starters is concerning. A hamstring pull could put Buffalo’s secondary in a tough spot with Tre’Davious White potentially being the next man up. Things aren’t better at safety, with the trio of Taylor Rapp, Cole Bishop and Damar Hamlin being one of the most underwhelming in the league. For the receivers, the depth is decent, but there’s not a true No. 1 option.

Miami Dolphins

Biggest needs: CB, S, IOL
Miami tried to address the interior of its offensive line by signing guard James Daniels and drafting his potential counterpart in Jonah Savaiinaea in the second round. But is that enough, or are the Dolphins still vulnerable to inside pressure as they were a year ago? Defensively, a trade of Jalen Ramsey would further weaken an already mediocre secondary, but it’s the right move from a financial standpoint. That said, the Dolphins are without a single impact player on the back end.

New York Jets

Biggest needs: QB, WR, TE
There were a few avenues to go with the Jets, but let’s look at the offense. New York is hoping Justin Fields is an answer under center, despite now being on his third team in as many years. If Fields can’t get the job done, there’s a good chance Gang Green will be looking for a signal-caller in the first round of the 2026 draft. As for the pass catchers, it’s Garrett Wilson and a ton of concerns. The Jets need second-round tight end Mason Taylor to jump right in and make a difference, or the passing game will struggle to get off the ground.

Insubordination isn't a good look for any resume. The in-subordinate isn't always at fault and may even be doing a good deed, but it's a slippery slope.

What's up? Would you give us a sixth and seventh in 2026 for Jalen Ramsey and Tyreek Hill? Fuck you isn't a very nice thing to say. I know that they're both 31, but so is Diggs and Hill doesn't have a knee issue. I know Hill's cap hit is $27,698,750 and Ramsey's is $16,661,000 but you guys have a huge amount of money ready to be spent. What? A 2028 7th and you want us to pick up half of their salaries? I gotta call you back.

Just trying to be funny. Dolphins have a major attitude issue with players wanting to leave if McDaniel is going to be the HC in 2025. Dolphins have been trying to pawn off both Hill and Ramsey and no one wants Hill's cap hit or attitude or Ramsey's either. Amazing how everyone thought that having Hill was going to bring rings to Miami. Now no onw will pick up the phone when it rings.

I think coaches like McDaniel are fun, but not sure they could ever be true long-term type guys. The only one that I have seen that can be long-term that is that true players' coach is Mike Tomlin, but even there I think he has more discipline in him. McDaniel is a very smart guy and someone I would love to sit down and talk football with over a beer, but not sure I want him as my main leader in an organization.

I can't see Miami trading them for so little. I get that their contracts are tough to trade so that lowers their value on top of their age, but it actually costs Miami cap space to trade them right now. So weird thing is it is cheaper to keep them on the roster. And I doubt they would trade within the division for late round picks.

Morale was really down in Miami before Mike showed up.
He was very good for morale until he wasn't. Morale is slipping again and McDaniel's mistakes are very glaring.
The GM was a worl-beater when he put together "the best offense in NFL"
Now that we've seen "the best offense in the NFL" unable to beat a winning team for several years, nobody is happy.
I see Miami as rebuilding and fighting the Jets for last place in the division this year.
Miami has the longest streak in NFL for not winning a playoff game!

And that is what I mean with McDaniel. When a coach like him first shows up there is a nice boost. He comes in with fresh ideas, connects well to players, and fun comes back into the organization. Problem is this is a business not a frat house and those type of coaches just don't have longevity in the NFL. Players need a true grownup in the room that everyone knows is in charge and when crap hits the fan will be there to take it on and right the ship.

It's not cheaper to keep them. Cap and real dollars are not the same (yes, I know you know that). Dead cap money is part of the equation and ultimately it may cost cap space to do what's best for a team.

Dolphins have a lot of dead cap to deal with. It could cost a shitload to get rid of these players.
Ramsey alone is $50 million. Cant cut him.
Waddle is tradeable but he is the only WR performing to his contract.
Chubb is on IR on a Gazillion $$$$$

I definitely know the difference. I don't think the Dolphins worry a ton about the cash. Stephen Ross is one of the ten richest owners in the NFL. It is why they could do some of the deals they did to put this team together. I just have a hard time believing the Dolphins sign off on this deal to trade them for a 6th or 7th round pick at this point. If that is all you are getting back then probably more valuable just to keep them on your roster.

From what I understand the Dolphins have been demanding teams take on a big chunk of the guaranteed money so they can have more cap flexibility and teams are saying no. It is either take on a bigger part of their contract and give up maybe a round less than you would have or pay the price to get the cheaper part of the contract for a proven good player.

Personally I wouldn't trade for either guy. Hill mostly because of his legal issues that continue to pop up. I don't think he is a great locker room guy either. Chiefs players didn't seem too upset when he left. Ramsey I wouldn't want as he reminds me a lot of Revis. He is looking for the biggest deal possible and doesn't put team first.
