Good. We got a nice long glimpse of his "original version" ideas with Ep 1-3.
He may have created the universe that so many people love, but Star Wars is bigger than George Lucas. He needed to have it slapped out of his hands so that real filmmakers could build on the lore he made instead of letting George and his Yes men stomp the franchise into the ground even more.
And let's not forget that George gave the fans midichlorians and Jar-Jar Binks. For those on their own, he needed to be "moved aside".
