Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens (2015)

I hate to say this, but I was a little underwhelmed. It was a damn good trailer, don't get me wrong. But, I was expecting different. I must've gotten my hopes up very high after I read a rumored synopsis of the trailer. One where Luke appears at the end. This one, of course, was lacking Luke. I like Han's voice-over, though, about the Jedi and the Dark Side. Also, like Kylo's voice. This all may be a good thing, as I think about it though. This trailer did not give a lot away, again.

Isn't that Luke reaching out and touching R2 with his mech hand? I have a feeling that is at the end and R2 is there to bring Luke back into the fold.... possibly after something we don't like happens.

This is the impression I got. A key plot thread seems to be... "continue your search for old Skywalker" ...who is finally found at the end of the movie and will have a much more prominent role in VIII.

Yes, but probably because it's going to emotional scar us... in a good way though.

At the very least play an Obi-Wan-style mentorship role. So many awesome possibilities.

Will be buying tickets this week for opening weekend.

Ordered my tickets to Thursday at 7 pm opening night in an IMAX theater. Never been in one of those. Excited to say the least.

If they were going to save that touching R2 scene until the end of the movie, I would think that they would not include that in any trailer. Keep us hungry = surprising us with that scene.

Maybe Luke is disfigured and they don't want to show his face. Did Hamill get in another car accident?
But seriously, maybe he's in the last 15 minutes or so. They want to save his uncloaking and this would be just before it?
