As much as I hate Kennedy, one of her strong desires is to get the franchise away from the Skywalker clan. Building on characters like Sabine, Ahsoka, Thrawn, Mando, Grogu, etc is how you do that. So I think there is incentive to make him a strong villain (with proper motivation) going forward.

Any idea how involved Lucas, Favreau and Filoni are in this project? If they are heading it up (as a trio!) than it has real potential. If Kennedy has one of her flunkies running it, it is doomed.

Kinda seems like they're doing all the right things with this one (haven't watched the newest trailer)

One thing I noticed last night…

Chopper speaks common. Did he speak common in Rebels? I never noticed.

He seemed a little more coherent here, but best I can remember, his noises always kinda sounded like words. Like a muffled version of someone speaking. It wasn't like your usual beep boops from other droids

I guess I just always assumed he was speaking droid-jibberish, so I never paid any attention to the actual noises.

He speaks something very similar to how Kenny speaks on South Park. Though I could never understand anything Kenny said. I was about to make out approx 50% of what Chopper said.
