Seriously?

They just kill him with no reveal or anything?

Not as bad as the nothingburger that Snope ended up being, but certainly in the same neighborhood.

He was never built up to be anything more than what he was. Fans just ran with theories and worked themselves up over nothing

True, but they had an Inquisitor just show up to be nothing more than a speed bump? I think they had to know the fanboys would go bonkers about him.

So basically, it was just a troll job, similar to having Evan Peters playing Wanda’s brother in WandaVision.

Inquisitors have been nothing but speedbumps in the Filoni-verse. They're jobbers and always have been.

They aren't a threat to actual Jedi knights.

Useful hunting dogs to track down padawans and untrained force sensitives, that's all.

Other than the Clone Wars/Rebels fan service, it just seems a bit stiff.

It certainly has a feel of a live action animated show, so it automatically puts into a certain class, I will grant you. But this is actually pretty good, imho. It definitely has a heavy dose of “You Go Gurl”, but the characters have depth, so it isn’t shallow and insulting like most “You Go Gurl” shows/movies to this point.

Ahsoka has inner struggle. She is flawed and the not most powerful being ever.

Sabine has no power at all, and is struggling with a motive that doesn’t exactly line up with everyone else, so her actions are truly her own. And they make sense.

Hera is an important general in the rebellion/New Republic, but she struggles with raising a child while doing it and it she is facing problems because of that and her loyalty to her past.

We don’t know enough about the Apprentice or the Witch yet, but the witch appears to have incentives consistent with what we know of witches in universe and the apprentice is showing consistent flaws that have been shown in past apprentices in universe.

I thought he was great.
He was just an old dude wearing really cheap makeup. That’s all I could see.

I don’t know what I was expecting. But it wasn’t that. The actor isn’t as rail thin as Thrawn has always been portrayed (his uniform didn’t look like it fit…. He looked frumpy). Maybe that’s it? And his voice just didn’t work for me. His cadence was OK, but his speech just wasn’t as crisp and clear as it was in Rebels. This portrayal didn’t have the gravitas that I was expecting, I suppose.

I know they haven't officially announced a season 2, but it feels like there's gonna be a season 2. After tonight's episode and one episode left, seems kinda hard to wrap everything up neatly.

The reason his voice didn't work for you is because it's the same guy.

I realize that. But it was still different on Rebels than it was here. Maybe that can be explained by the fact they were stranded in a different galaxy for 10 years? That could explain the Ill-fitting uniform as well.

Like I said, I can’t put my finger on what was missing for me. And this portrayal is getting pretty much universal praise. I acknowledge my opinion isn’t the prevailing opinion. I am not trying to convince anyone of anything. Just sharing my thoughts immediately after watching the episode.

I am the guy who never understood Kenny in South Park. And I am the guy who has very little clue what Chopper says.

Does anyone have a translation of what he said?

And for those who read Common, what planet did all the lines end up at at the end of the credits? I ASSUME Dathomir, but that is only a guess.

WTF was that? I always figured there was gonna be a season 2 or the story would keep going, but they could have at least answered a couple of questions or concluded a plot point or two to set up whatever is to come. That finale was just poorly constructed. It comes off more as a midseason episode than a season finale.

I think I've been spoiled by Rogue One/Andor.

I want every scene to mean something, but sometimes you just have to appreciate the fan service.

That was definitely a whimper of an ending... Made this entire series come off as more of a setup for the stuff to come.
