I agree. I <3 those old songs as well.Seriously?
I'd put all of those earlier shows at <3 on the epic scale.

Klingons are not an alien-of-the-week. They are one of the absolute core species in that universe. And their look is well established in a rich universe that includes about 15 movies and 7 previous tv series’ (if you count the animated series, which, if I am not mistaken, is considered canon).A bigger makeup budget? Forehead ridge of the week alien becomes full face treatment of the week alien?

They changed their look in the early 90s for TNG, but they explained that change (after quite a bit of grumbling from fans, IIRC). Now the6 change the look again? I am willing to shelf that frustration for now, assuming they will address it, but they HAVE to address it.
Star track has spent the last 50 years building continuity. When they broke the continuity with the latest movies, fans got pissed BECAUSE of the continuity they have established.
Bond has essentially been a series of movies that mainly ignores continuity. Similar to Jack Ryan.
Comparing the two is not even apples and oranges. It is more like apples and running.
It is 5.99 per month for service WITH ads. If you want ad-free, that is 9.99 per month. But they don’t offer their entire library with a subscription. It is only a portion of their library.Caught the first episode and it was just....meh.
The walking in the pattern of a Star Fleet symbol so the ship could see them in a dust storm was pretty god damn stupid right off the bat.
As someone mentioned the Walking Dead chick being Spock's adoptive sister that has never been mentioned before seems like a weird and unnecessary way to try to connect this to the original series. Maybe there's some reasoning behind it but right now it sure seems like they could have just had her adoptive father be any other Vulcan.
The dialogue felt like I was watching a cut scene from the newest Mass Effect game which was a bit unsettling.
Also pretty lame how they leave it on a cliff hanger and then give you the "see more by paying $5 a month!" but hey, they just be trying to make some $.
Still haven't watched the second episode but I'm going to hang with this for a month or so. If it doesn't get much better it's probably not worth $5 a month for one show.
You are in industry. How are you encouraging this?As for paying to watch it, are you guys all older than Hank or something? There's gotta' be 1000 places to download it without even having to have to torrent it.

I WANT to pay a FAIR price for my viewing. A lot of hard work was put into these programs. I don’t want to steal it.
And I like watching on my actual tv when possible.

So the human adopted by Spock's parents, that is the main character.
What the hell?
Spock never mentions her
His parents never mention her
His half brother never mentions her
had to look this up but she is 5-10 years older than Spock. They haven't given her character age but the actress is 32 and Spock would have been 25 during the time frame of this show

I think they are trying too hard to force a connection. They claim that that is going to be explained as part of the show. I'm skeptical about it too, but i believe it's not an oversight.

I wasn't sold enough to pay for it.
