Dropping this in here since the ECF thread is dead. Pittsburgh pulled a 36.2 rating last night during the third period. And that was with those hoards watching the big screen...you know those people who ruin ratings. Overall ratings were 27.2. That's something else there. Big numbers.

I like it your enthusiasm!! Now, under your plan can Kris Letang also be fired into the sun or, preferably, some other star even further away?

^Clearly forgetting to factor in wins in the bank.

Wait... if the Caps keep forgetting to use their banked wins, do they carry over? Do they accumulate without degradation? WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY GET TO 16???!!!:hellno:

I think this SCF will be good for the league. A couple teams who play an aggressive offensive game, teams with some speed.

The last two rounds the Pens have played were great because of the focus on skill on the Lightning and Capitals roster, and the willingness to open things up a bit. San Jose's their own team, but I expect more of the same from them.

Side story - having a friend with a scanner before those were common place / subway loyalty card with the stamps = a lot of free subs.

When I was in college there was a Subway that was directly attached to a 24 hour convenience store right next to the pub that we all used to frequent. There wasn't a door in between so you could freely walk back and forth, and so almost every night there would be drunk students wandering back there and trying to figure out how they could get at the food, which was still visible but of course was all locked up.

After watching this exercise for months I finally stumbled back there with a buddy one night and we realized that there was a much easier plan. Grabbed an entire roll of Sub Club stamps and rolled out of there with no questions. MIT kids are smart, but as the guys found out in "Office Space" it takes more than just raw brainpower to be a good criminal

I'm trying not to sound like I'm proud of something that was really nothing more than a common theft but I think I'm failing. Don't do this kind of stuff guys, it's not OK. Shit, I'm still grinning.

The problem with the scanner plan is that each stamp was numbered (we actually spent an entire night mixing and matching on sub cards so that they didn't just have 10 consecutive stamps) so if your sandwich artist had been paying attention he/she could have actually caught you pretty easily. But I suppose it's generally not the type of job where they're paying close attention to shit like that.
