Lol Dash....that's a double ouch for you....your Flames and Bruins...yikes!

Yeah, it was game 2 of the Stanley Cup finals (just like tonight) in '86 when Skrudland scored that OT goal for the Habs. Talk about a kick to the junk.

Wow, another thrilling finish. Tough loss for the Bruins, they played much better tonight. Really took over the game in the second, but for whatever reason, eased off the gas pedal and couldn't get that 3rd goal.

Agree with all the others about Chara. He had two pretty mediocre games and needs to be better. Maybe the speed and power of the Canucks is too much for him after 3 playoff round?

Anyway I felt if Boston had any chance to win the series, they needed to win at least one of these first two in Vancouver. Yes they came back before, but I'm sure even B's fans know this isn't exactly the Habs they are playing. Beating a team as good as the Canucks 4 out of 5 games is a tall order.

What a horrible end to a great game. Thomas made a stupid mistake. And of all ppl, it had to be that douchebag to net it. Both GWG came from the only guys I dont respect on that team. Oh well, back to Boston. Sly guy out. :bolt:

Dramatic OT in Game 3. A goal shall go in during regulation, the horn will go off but play will continue. It will be looked at and played called a goal.

In OT a puck deflect of a Nuck's stick and across the goal line. It is looked at, but no goal.

Finally in OT Bergeron shall get an overtime goal just like one in round 2.

Well, it was a very entertaining game tonight. Canucks only 2 wins away from the holy grail and they have the combination of a very good team and some timely bounces working for them. Heck, Sami Salo is still in the lineup (he's usually on the shelf by now).

Congrats on tonight's win puck, mattola, jstew, mooger, curtrain, jojoh, and the rest of Canucks fans out there (tacoma_canuck as well).

Thanks Dash... still 2 games to go and they only get tougher.

It's been a few hours and I'm still hyped up... and still drunk.

Don't think I can add anything else about tonight's game that hasn't already been said.

I am not sure what all the fuss is about. The bite was ambarrassing (for me at least). It is up there with the hair pulling incident. But like the hair pulling, the incident was pretty harmless. I would say more harm came from that slash on Bieksa. If it was someone else besides Burrows, maybe a no-name/non-factor, there would be much less attention given to that silly facewash scrum. Bergeron is trying to win a championship and he made a much bigger deal of the bite than it really was. Helping get a suspension to Burrows would be huge.

If I was a Bruins fan, I would be more concerned with how the Bruins were playing and how they can win four of the next five games. I would hate Burrows, but I would not be complaining that he was not suspended... To me that would be admitting that my team was not good enough to win.

If Burrows' bite was really suspension worthy, then I would understand why people are pissed off.

EDIT: by suspension worthy, I mean an actual harmful act.

wow what a game , cant believe the canucks are 2 wins away from winning it all. Vancouver has not been too impressive in their play last 2 games and big part of it is Boston doesnt give u much out there . a split would be huge in boston .

A bit yes. Burrows should have been sitting this game and EVERYONE knows it.

just like Horton should have sat for game 7 against Tampa. its over man dont let it rule you for the series.

mattola,

Please include all of my comment instead of picking out pieces. I do not much care about the suspension or lack thereof. I was merely pointing out that all of the "experts" agree that Burrows should have been sat down for that game.

Games shift to Boston and I am hopeful that the Bruins can get back into this series and give themselves a chance at the cup.

I am of the belief that both games could have gone to Boston as well. Both teams have played very well. Vancouver has got some timely scoring and has a huge 2-0 series lead. Difficult to come back from but not impossible.

Back to Boston. I believe we will tie this series in Boston and make this a rough road. Down 0-2 is tough but we have been here before and worked through it.

Quote from Julien after the game. I fully agree with him and I am not a big fan of his. In this case his is right on.

“It’s our own fault,” coach Claude Julien said. “We beat ourselves with some bad decision-making and poor puck management. You take responsibility and you make the corrections that you have to. And you move on.”

Burrows, who escaped suspension from the league after biting Bergeron’s finger in Game 1, had a monster night, scoring two goals and assisting on Sedin’s equalizer at 9:37 of the third period. Julien flatly rejected the opportunity to carp about the fact that Burrows was on the ice while some may have felt he should have been suspended.

“If we use that as an excuse, then we’re a lame team,” Julien said.

Anyone know the last time a guy was suspended during the Finals? I'm pretty sure you'd have to commit murder out there to get the gate for a game.

wow.. Kaberle had only 12m ice time, and only 3:15 in the 3rd period.
oh well, still more than Ballard.
