I've been on both sides of that type of intramural game. It's no fun for anybody, but you're right, not much that you can do. If you are passing the puck back to your D-men and not even trying to score, that's even more embarassing for the losing side in a lot of ways.

Yea, me too in beer league softball or something like that. You have a mercy rule or something but sometimes it just keeps on coming. Not fun but hey, you go get a good drunk on after it and have a good laugh about it and forget it.

When it comes to the pros or even elite junior or college, you play until the final whistle,gun,siren or out. Just suck it up and get better.

Not sure what the precedent is for suspensions. It was NOT a clean hit (ie. way too late in the current concussion concious NHL) but I am not aware of any other infractions (ie history) with Aaron Rome.

And in the most respectful way, Horton was doing nothing so far this series. I hope he is fine, he seems pretty tough but he was not playing all that well...

Will Thomas continue to play for the conn smythe as I believe he is top for it right now
Will the loss of Horton hurt or help the Bruins?
