Well, that supports a Saturday night game, doesn't it? I know Bettman doesn't give a damn about Canadian tv ratings.
I think the goal was avoiding the weekend games as much as possible because of the likelihood people are far more invested in getting outdoors, together with family, etc.

Saturday night game would also interfere with Hawks-Bucks game 6 and if you're battling for eyeballs avoiding going H2H with the NBA is a pretty good idea whenever possible.

You’d think tonight would fare better since the Western Conference Finals are over in the NBA and the game is on NBC.

Literally nobody in the US is watching this series as it is. Put a game on July 4 weekend and they may fall to 5 figures viewership.

Come on zebras, that was a penalty that almost made it 3-1 Tampa, do your effin job.

Edit: Backed up the PVR just to watch it again, nasty two-hander by Palat on the hands of Caufield, no call. Ridiculous.
