It always bugs me when you have a chance to take a guy who's a local kid (no guarantee he'll turn into a NHLer or want to stay in his hometown) who has displayed a knack of putting the puck in the net. I mean, it's a 3rd round pick, if it doesn't work out, nobody bats an eye. If it does work out, you look like a genius for making that selection.

I have a bunch of co-workers in Tampa who won’t be getting much work done today. Our 2PM conference call should be fun. I can be happy for them. Because if you had told me at the end of February or at the end of the round robin that my team would be playing their team on September 28 for the Cup I would have laughed you out of the room. It’s been a great ride with all the other shit we had to deal with the past 8 months.

Yeah, the thing is you have to beat us next time. 3 of the last 4. And 4 of the last four times we've lost, the guys who beat us went to the final.
