not me. Ill touch it, even kiss it (I have) but I cant bring myself to hoist it, I have not earned it and never will, I believe only the teams coaches, players, management, owners, trainers and direct family of those listed should (unless this guy is family), I guess Im just really old school that way. I dont think some smart ass twitter guy deserves that whatsoever.

I've never even touched it. Been near it a few times, but just could not bring myself to touch it, because deep inside part of me thought there was some remote chance that I could get touched by an angel and get a contract and have a shot at winning it. Didn't want the bad mojo. I even grabbed my two year old son's hand when he reached for it. You never know.

That dream is over (before it even began...), so next time I see it, I'm touching that puppy. But I will also never lift it.

I think a lot of FO guys get to. Doesn't bug me as long as the players are okay with it. Not going to lie...even though I have no desire to work at the pro-level, man I'd love to lift that sucker.

I have had a couple of opportunities to touch the cup. All star game in Dallas ( forget which year) i won Sirius VIP package. Lots of parties included with the cup there. Before 2012 I refused to touch it. At the 08 draft my wife and I worked the line to view the cup. The keeper ( forget his name) was nice and told us we could pick it up before they let the crowds in. I refused because it was per 2012. My wife was afraid she would drop it and I wouldn't help her. After the Kings won there were plenty of chances to touch it but because there were always lines they didn't let us pick it up because of long lines and time.
In the events/times they let non players lift the cup, they tell you " not over your head". They don't want you to drop it from that high, otherwise they are cool with most handling of it.

I'm alright touching it, but I've never been too close. Once, one of the Pens FO guys had it 5 minutes from my house and my neighbors told me, but I didn't leave quick enough. Was already gone. Buh.

Ive damn near m-o-l-e-s-t-e-d it lol (really I cant spell that word?). First time I got to it was in the Hall of Fame it was the REAL one, not sure the one I have a picture with is real or the duplicate. When I was in the HOF with it it was at opening I was the only one there on a early morning, I spent 3 hours reading it, I got some bad pictures and asked if I could touch it. The security said yes and I ran my fingers over EVERY name on that cup. I touched the history of it,felt the history of it and absorbed its energy, it was amazing, that may sound stupid to some but it was incredible and that to me is what any hockey fan should and can do. As fans all of us are part of that Cup everyone one of us. I just cant ever bring myself to feel its weight and hoist it, I just dont think I can

I have a picture of myself with it, but I didn't even lay a hand on it. I think my dad might have, but I wouldn't do it.

When I was at the HOF it was there but for some reason I couldn't bring myself to touching it. Not sure why but couldn't.

Trust me I regret that and the next time I get back to the HOF and it is there you might see me on the news running down Front street with it getting chased by security.

Seriously though I still think lifting it should be only for those who win it.

I've had my picture taken with it a couple times. The first time was at the hockey hall of fame when I was 10 years old. I didn't touch it as forty three mentioned, I was still playing hockey at the time and didn't want the bad mojo in case that 1% chance of making the nhl actually panned out.

The second time was a couple years ago. A guy who worked for one of the local hockey teams knew the keeper of the cup and he was able to get him to come to our local arena. Being 22 years old, and my dream of making the nhl all but dead, finally brought myself to touching it. They wouldn't let anyone lift it up though due to the long line of people

I did do shots with Eddie Shack that night, but that involved a different cup

Henrik Lundqvist will play his 666th career game on Friday the 13th. I have no idea what this means or could mean, if it means anything.
