Sounding like it's at least not a broken jaw.

Instead, expect him to eat some of Kyle Okpos's knuckles. And I guess if Barkov can't go maybe Cousins draws in to increase the likelihood of a Malachi crunch?

This finals are a gong show lol

Between the cheap shots (both sides) and the constant embellishments, I have to say this is not particularly entertaining.

I would much rather watch McDavid flying out there than the constant: pack the front of the net forcing little to no high danger chances and scrums after every whistle complete with multiple jabs (none of which is called).

In the desire to not influence the game, the refs have gone overboard and allow most anything and everything until an apparent injury. But hey, they will take 2 minutes to decide if a player really was over the blueline when they shot a puck over the boards. THAT is worth a penalty :noidea:

I think the game has passed me by.

The Panthers are doing what needs to be done to beat the Oilers and that is clogging things up and making the Oilers battle for every inch of ice out there. It's not pretty, wide open, free flowing hockey like the Habs of the late 70's, but it's certainly effective.

I agree with you about the embellishment, it drives me crazy in football (soccer) as well.

In historic terms, it's how the Flyers uglied up the game to win in the 70s

Yup and when the Habs beat the Flyers in the '76 final, they had guys like Larry Robinson and Pierre Bouchard who could answer the bell when the Flyers wanted to goon it up.

Are there any correctional institutions on the shores of Hudson Bay? If so, we might want to read up on their rule books before game 3.

I have a feeling the refs are going to be calling a lot of penalties early in game 3 which is advantage Oilers even though they are 0-for-7 on the PP in this series.

David Staples confirming a) what an Oilers fanboy he is and b) doesn't have the slightest idea what a can opener is

The only thing worse than his hockey takes are his political takes. He's almost as radical as Theo Fleury.
