What a fucking month for football.

I was wondering if BSU had a chance if Stanford lost tonight at making the national championship. It seems at this point it will be LSU/Alabama vs either Stanford/OSU/Oklahoma. But if Stanford lost, and OSU lost to one of their upcoming oppenetts which seems fairly likely to happen, then BSU might have had their best chance yet.

Sorry these are probebly no more then drunk ramblings.

You are probably right on OU, I think at least the human polls would have BSU over OU because the non-aq's have been knocking on the door for a long time (politics working the other way in other words).

plus someone posted top 10 finishes in the BCS era stats earlier this week, we're higher than any other non-AQ or team that was a non-AQ for a good period of the BCS era.

my issue with BSU making it is the one real game a year. Had Oregon decided to play anyone other than BSU (and maybe even them) from the MWC instead of LSU we'd probably still be undefeated. Then there'd be no question. Instead we play tough game after tough game with AQ level talent and they don't have to.

I still think a one loss AQ team deserves it more than a non-AQ schedule.
