lol. Allen at 10 and Darby at 5-7? no way. Plus we will be players in FA at WR.
So Allen is worth more ? And Darby is a 10 mil cb all if a sudden ? And who says we have to go 10 to 20 mil on a WR .

I think Allen will want more next year. Darby could be close to 10, Im basing my opinion on what we offered A. Cooper last year. If we offered Cooper 22m why isn't Robinson or Galloday worth that money?

When Dan wants player he often gets him but most times overpays too. You have to know when to hold'em and know when to fold'em.

I think we are gonna swing and miss on Watson and Stafford. I do think there is a chance with Stafford, but he doesn't even want to be here.

Rivera told Dan he wanted to address the QB position, so I expect the Skins to be aggressive, but Carr, Ryan, and I keep hearing about the kid from Wake Forrest (Newman). We'll see.

I think a kid like Trey Lance could work in this scheme where dual threat QBs can do lots of damage.
Not in love with his game or completely confident, but if he can be coached up, thats another way you get to keep all the guys together
for a while longer. I think we're about to enter an era where only 5 teams a legit better than us - Packers, Saints, Seahawks, Bucs & Rams

I dont want to give up capital for a qb who doesnt want to be here.

If Stafford doesnt want to play for a team with an excellent wr, a very good rb, a pretty good tight end, and a top ten defense, in the weakest division in football with a proven coach and a changing culture, then he can go suck for the remainder of his years with Saleh in NY.

So #19 and more compensation? wow. I thought 19 would do it. Well we do have an extra 3rd round this year. I knew the 49ers would not offer #13. If they did the deal would have been done by now.

Why would Detroit rush for the trade if 13 was offered? They can hold out and say Washington is offering 19 and a 2nd. There is no hurry.

49ers say they are not close. I would post the article, but for some reason this site won't let me copy and paste from bleacher report.

Rumors circulated that the San Francisco 49ers were close to agreeing to a trade for Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, but NFL Network's Mike Garafolo shot those reports down on Saturday on Good Morning Football:
"There were rumors the last couple of days on Twitter that the 49ers were on the verge of a trade for Matthew Stafford with the Lions. Not according to the folks in San Francisco who said, 'Nope, not us.'

"Now, I can't guarantee you that they're not gonna trade for a quarterback this offseason. Jimmy Garoppolo might be elsewhere. But I hear a lot of positives when I talk to the folks in San Francisco with regard to how they feel about Jimmy Garoppolo. So, I'll keep him there for another season at least and hope that everybody around him stays healthy, and all the bad juju that's surrounding this team is gone, and they can get back to playing good football with Jimmy Garoppolo."

The 49ers traded a second-round draft pick to the New England Patriots for the man known as Jimmy G in 2017. In February 2018, the 49ers inked the signal-caller to a five-year extension worth $137.5 million, with $48.7 million fully guaranteed.
Garoppolo, who went 5-0 starting for San Francisco in 2017, missed all but three games in 2018 with a torn ACL suffered against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 3.
The 2019 season was a tremendous success, with Garoppolo leading the 49ers to an NFC title and a Super Bowl appearance. He completed a career-high 69.1 percent of his passes for 27 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
Unfortunately, injuries prevented Garoppolo from seeing the field much in 2020; he was limited to six games due to a high-ankle sprain and a re-aggravation of that same ailment.
Meanwhile, Stafford's time in Detroit is over after he and the Lions mutually agreed to part ways following 12 seasons.
Apparently the market is hot enough for the 32-year-old's services that Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported a deal could be in place before the Super Bowl on Feb. 7.
San Francisco wouldn't appear to be a front-runner based on Garafolo's report, although a move to the NFC West could still happen. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Friday that Stafford believes the Los Angeles Rams are a "viable contender" in the trade market.

Bears and Panthers have jumped into the mix. West coast teams say price too steep.

Bears Trade Rumors: Matthew Stafford Move Interests Chicago, More Teams

The Chicago Bears are among at least seven teams who are interested in acquiring Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, according to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer.
While live on Periscope on Saturday, Breer noted the Bears, Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams and Washington Football Team have all been in touch with the Lions over the last six days, but Detroit's asking price for the QB may be too expensive for the West Coast clubs.

In any case, a deal could be completed within the week.
"[The Lions would] like to move him before the Super Bowl," Breer said. "I think they're going to get a first-round pick, maybe a first-round pick plus something else."
