Bears Trade Rumors: Matthew Stafford Move Interests Chicago, More Teams​

The Chicago Bears are among at least seven teams who are interested in acquiring Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, according to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer.
While live on Periscope on Saturday, Breer noted the Bears, Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams and Washington Football Team have all been in touch with the Lions over the last six days, but Detroit's asking price for the QB may be too expensive for the West Coast clubs.

In any case, a deal could be completed within the week.
"[The Lions would] like to move him before the Super Bowl," Breer said. "I think they're going to get a first-round pick, maybe a first-round pick plus something else."

If that is the case we have the highest 1st round pick. Shouldn't we be the favorites now?

panthers offering a top 10 pick for him? I dont see it. I dont see belichick giving up his first either.

Honestly I'd offer our 1st this year and our 2nd next year. With Smith gone we probably miss on the picks anyway. Could be trading Josh Doctson and Sua for a very good QB for the next 5 years.

First place schedule with what we have at QB is a 6-11 season. Once that happens after letting Rivera hire all his guys, he would immediately be on the hot seat with Dan.

This is about keeping Dan at bay imo. They have to make a move, whether its Stafford or someone else.

right but what if Indy is offering their 1st and 2nd and we offer our 1st and 3rd. Plus if the Bears are in it, they could offer multiple picks. We are 19, the bears are 20 and Indy is 21. You would think our first and 3rd would get the deal done if either of these two teams offer multiple picks.
