It was going to be a flagrant either way. Mahimi did the same exact thing to LBJ in G1 and LBJ did not fake an injury and he also got called for a flagrant. Ginobli is a dumbass. Your team was up 4 with basically 24 seconds to go meaning they would have to foul so why even attempt to foul there? Just give them the basket and hit your fts.

And they didn't upgrade anything....It was called a flagrant and the call stood. The refs from what I know are not allowed to review a play to see if it is a flagrant or not unless the original call is a flagrant foul. If it is a common foul they can't go and look at the replay to see if it was a flagrant.

If the refs called fouls correctly no one would flop. Just because you are stronger than the person guarding you that doesnt mean you cant be fouled. On the other foot if someone is backing you down why isnt that a foul if you are holding your ground?

Houston and LA played an overtime game for the rights to play the Spurs instead of OKC.
The Lakers got a standing ovation for the rights to play the injured and weak Spurs.

The "Splash Brothers" were the greatest backcourt in the history of the NBA.
They were too much for the old spurs.

Memphis was the biggest team ever assembled. Clearly they had 4 8-footers and 6 7-footer....and another 7 or 8 guys who were 6'11'
The tiny Spurs had no chance like 2011 against the Giants.
