The Spurs certainly picked the right time of year to get hot, in the wide open west they have as good a chance as anyone to win the West in the playoffs.

Too soon to count out the 4/5 seed from beating the Warriors

Defintely too soon. Any team could beat anybody out West except for whoever is 8th and Dallas*. And I'll probably take Houston out of it now that Beverly and Montiunas are done for the season. But the other 6 teams could absolutely beat each other in a match up. The West is brutal.

*I could still see Dallas doing it if it ever clicks. But ever since the Rondo trade, they can't keep it consistently together night in and night out

They had issues even before the Rondo trade. Dallas looks like a tough out but a tough out that might go down in 4 or 5. Still....Dirk looms

Spurs sweep the home and home which pretty much guarantees they'll finish ahead of Houston.

Tomorrow Memphis and the Clippers play....this game will decided IMO if the Spurs get the 2 or 3 seed.

If Memphis win, I think the Spurs will get the 2 seed as I think Memphis would lose to the Warriors on Monday.

If the Clippers win, I think they win out which would give San Antonio the 3 seed

Only in the West can a team as good as the Rockets go from 2 seed to 6 seed in a matter of days.

Just realized the Spurs are going to get the 2 seed because division leader always win the tie against the team who is not leading the division so pretty much there is no way for the Clippers to finish ahead of the Spurs as long as they finish with the same record.

Except for they have to play a dangerous and desperate PELICANS team on the road now.

Houston, Clippers, Memphis, and OKC all get easy layups.
Although it would be nice if the Indiana/Memphis game meant something to the Pacers....maybe..

The Spurs only need to win for the #2, but they can lose one game and fall to the #6.

Very much looking forward to the Spurs Pelicans game on Wednesday. Should be awesome. Hoping for a good game that comes down to the last possession.

So crazy that if the spurs lose it likely means they drop to 6

Suffice to say the Spurs have motivation to win. This gives the Thunder a good chance. If they can get Ibaka back might be able to win a couple against the Warriors.

I dont think the SPURS can get the #3 now.

It looks like either the #2 or #6.

That is an insane swing. All those first half games lost to injury versus teams they would kill now hurt tiebreaks.

(there is a slight mathmatical chance at the #5 if one of Houston/Memphis gacks but not both)

The Spurs are 19-3 since Feb 27th. Their wins have been by an average of 18 points. Only one win was not a double-digit win: a 9 point win over Denver on Mar 6th. Two of their three losses were in overtime. The other loss was to Dallas, a team they clobbered three days later.

The Spurs are the team to beat... id favor the spurs to win the west if they get the 2 seed and have a showdown with GS in the WCF's.. Spurs are just as deep and have infinitely more playoff experience. Also, I want to see the warriors get crushed so their fans come back down to earth.

What do you mean by that?
