If Jerry could get Kirby to sign that, I would never negatively about him again.

Miller I would offer that but Woo I would be very skeptical cause of his injury history.

I thought I had a cold. a month later I found out I had pneumonia. It only took two trips to Urgent Care and a month to figure it out. I didn't realize you puked so much from pneumonia.

A quick note: some people were discussing the variation and velocity for Carlos Vargas. Today he threw only cutters and sliders. The cutter is the pitch at 94 to 95 mph. He’s struggling to locate his two seam fastball

Ya I think I am that certain age bracket...lol. Plus diabetic, high blood pressure and all of the other immune issues. I am a wreck, but still kicking. It used to bother me, but now I just enjoy the days I have. I could have gone without the daily puking, but it could have been worse.

I guess I am kind of like the Mariners these days. Not at full strength, but happy to just be hanging around...lol.

I'm telling you the beginning of the end for him was when he turned down that contract extension with the Mariners and bet on himself. For the rest of his life he will remember how he left on the table millions.

MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand reports the Mariners and free agent right-hander Ryne Stanek have agreed to a one-year, $4 million contract.
The deal, which is pending a physical, also includes $2 million in performance bonuses. The 32-year-old righty was a mainstay in the division-rival Astros’ bullpen over the last few years, posting a stellar 2.90 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 196/89 K/BB ratio over 173 2/3 innings (186 appearances) since 2021. He provides the Mariners with some high-leverage insurance with Matt Brash (elbow) and Gregory Santos (lat) potentially on the shelf to open the season.

Former Seattle Mariners' outfielder AJ Pollock is back in M's camp as a volunteer assistant coach this spring.

It sounds like Pollock is thinking about getting into coaching and this is kind of a test-run for him.

Per Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710:

AJ Pollock is in the clubhouse. He will join the Mariners for spring training in a similar role as Tom Wilhelmsen in assisting with the team where needed while getting an up close look at coaching.

The Mariners sent over a lot of talent to the Reds for Luis Castillo.

looks at how that trade became even more of a win for the M's after news broke that the prospect centerpiece of the trade, Noelvi Marte, was suspended for 80 games.
