only nine schools have a win % over 70%.

Colorado has more wins than any Big Ten schools not named Michigan or Ohio State. Which sort of appears to support the idea that just maybe the Big Ten was an easier path.

Its hella close for sure. I went Ohio st obviously cause im a fan but i feel the nattys gives us a slight edge plus winning them in 5 decades vs 2. But i cant blame anyone for taking the huskers either. A close one!

I see that Ohio State claims the 1970 title, even though Ohio State lost to Stanford in the bowl game. Nebraska also claims the 1970 title, but Nebraska won their bowl game and did not lose a game. Matter of fact, all of the Nebraska claimed titles are when Nebraska won their bowl game.

Prior to 1965 or around that time bowl games didn't play a factor in NC, they were awarded before the bowls were played, that's how OU has at least one NC the year they lost their bowl game. Probably a lot of schools have the same...

For the record, I'm happy for Ohio St winning the inaugural play-off.

That doesn't take away from the fact that the Big 10 was over-pimped (along with ND) by the media for decades with little to show for it. Outside of USC, the Big 10 had it easy being locked in the Rose Bowl with the PAC-10. Through that period, Nebraska and Oklahoma were playing the Florida St's, Miami's, Alabama's, LSU's etc.. in the Sugar and Orange Bowls.

One really only needs to look at Ohio St and the rest of the Big 10's record against the SEC vs Nebraska's record vs the SEC, to grasp the reality of the last 60 years or so. Nebraska couldn't and didn't hide from anybody like the Big 10 could in the Rose Bowl. Nebraska was quick to join the Bowl Coalition (formed in 1992) and the Bowl Alliance (formed in 1995) that would pit the top two teams against one another.

The Big 10 REFUSED to join. Hence Penn St ducking Nebraska in 1994 and Michigan ducking Nebraska in 1997. It's just that simple.

A couple questions is this about Ohio state or the B1G? Also what years are we using since it seems like Neb did not do much people are posting about until the 70s.
