1957 is questionable.

Auburn was undefeated and untied.
Ohio State lost to TCU.

If those two would have played, and with Ohio State's record vs SEC in bowl games(it ain't pretty), pretty sure Auburn would have won.
Pretty sure? See I did not use anything to back up my opinion other than facts.

Let me use my facts again.
tOSU better win %
tOSU more NC (whether you use the NCAA or not)
tOSU 79 vs 54 All Americans
tOSU 7 Heismans vs 4
tOSU 418 NFL picks vs 353
tOSU 69 first rounders vs 34
tOSU 838 weeks in AP vs 716
tOSU 95 as #1 vs 70

The stats that Nebraska has tOSU beat:
Conf. championships (Easier conf to win? Don't know but since it can be said about the B1G why not the B12).
7 more bowl games. 9 more wins and a couple more bowl wins.

Sorry I see the things that the Buckeyes have the edge in trumps the ones that Nebraska has the edge.

Auburn got in trouble for cheating and was bowl banned that year.

Still, Auburn took the AP and Ohio St took the coaches, so both are fine to claim.

And I doubt Ohio St would have played Auburn in a bowl game anyway. #1 vs #2 didn't start happening regularly until the BCS.

1958 Iowa was (8-1-1) and voted #1 by the 'Football Writers Association of America'. Iowa beat unranked (7-4) Cal in the Rose Bowl.

LSU (11-0) won the AP and UPI Coaches poll NC's. LSU beat #12 (8-3) Clemson in the Sugar Bowl.

If you want to count each and every rinky dink poll (That pass out feel good trophies) it's no wonder you're raging off the wall.

Got any other AP or UPI/Coaches Polls (for other Big 10 teams) you want to talk about? I don't believe I missed any of those.

All I did was go to the NCAA and looked at what they had. I have no clue about Iowa football history but they do.

I do like the raging comment, check your sides post history. Lots of anger there.

You finally posted something. All that talent and not much to show for it. Shows that Nebraska just does more with less I guess.

Correction
Heisman Ohio State 7(I guess is correct) Nebraska 3 You gave Nebraska credit for one too many. Although, I could debate Archie's senior season. Tony Dorsett's Junior Season was just as good as Archie's Heisman worthy junior season, and Archie was ALWAYS pulled at the goal line because the best player was Pete Johnson for Ohio State.

Outland Trophies Nebraska 9 vs 4
Conference bowl wins Big 8/12 114 vs Big Ten 95
Conference bowl losses Big 8/12 109 vs Big Ten 120

Since the Big Ten has fewer bowl wins which pits good teams against good teams, and more bowl losses, it can be deduced that maybe the Big 10 conference was a lot easier to win a conference title in. That is a pretty large discrepancy, 19 less bowl wins, and 11 more bowl losses

When you add in the fact that Colorado has more wins than any other Big Ten team not named Michigan or Ohio State, maybe, just maybe, there was a little more competition in the Big 8/Big 12.

Over and out, good luck.

Or maybe just maybe the road for Colorado to get those wins was easy. You see how those kinds of guesses can go either way. Saying one side or the other is better/harder if they didnt play means nothing.

I know tOSU last year was something I didnt think would happen like most but they were going to get blown off the field by both Bama and Oregon until they played.

Isnt the Outland trophy for a lineman? I have not gone through and looked at every individual trophy comparison vs. Nebraska but if you are going to list one like that you should list them all. I used the Heisman because the site in the original post list those.

By the way I posted facts earlier you either didnt like the NCAA or ignored them. Your fault not mine.

Michigan State has 4 recognized national titles , one of which was 1952 AP title.

Michigan St (9-0) wasn't in the Big 10 conference in 1952. They were Independent.

They also did not play a bowl. They are just as worthy as anyone else of that AP title. But it doesn't count as a Big 10 title.

Do I really have to educate Big 10 people on Big 10 football? :L

Just for shits sake, the Big 10 conference was called the 'Western Conference' in 1952.

Western Conference teams that Michigan St beat....

Michigan (5-4)
Purdue (4-3-2)
Indiana (2-7)

I'm sorry I forgot when Michigan State finally got past Michigan stone walling them into the conference. I will make note to rail on you when you make a mistake.

Go ahead and post the truth as you see it.
Tell us about the "National Football Foundation & Hall of Fame" titles. Or the "Football Writers Association" titles and how the 'Poling System" are so recognized, and dont leave out "Bob Kirlin" and "Jim Koger" whoever the fuck they are.
I never said I got to make the rules. But what's wrong with the Football Writers Association? You trust the coaches kids instead?

And you have multiple times talked about all-time and then in the exact same post put a "since x year". This is supposed to be actual All Time, not since you oozed out of your dad.

AP or Coaches....

1965 AP

However it was awarded prior to their Rose Bowl Loss to UCLA.
