You'll never get the Big 10 homers off of Notre Dame's ball-sack.

Their hype machines feed off of each other. If one is exposed as being over-rated and pimped beyond reality, they'll all be exposed.
Nut-hugging in the SEC is nothing compared to the Big 10. The Big 10 invented it.

Obviously under-achieving Texas is gonna vote against Oklahoma.

Iowa chokes on Michigan, Ohio St, and Notre Dame's nuts daily.

They pull 3 ways on the hawkeye's and plug all three holes at the same time.

"mmmmph, glurk, feltch, slobber, slobber, mmmph"

Notre Dame no question. I think either of the losers bracket finalists (USC or Alabama) would have been a better matchup... still probably Notre Dame anyway though...

When you see jerms ask him when the rematch happens, and the 3rd try, will you.
I don't want to miss either one of those.

It's not like ND didn't have some real scrub teams they played.
Have Played Navy 88 times, Northwestern 48 times, Purdue 86 times, Air Force 30 times, Indiana 29 times.
It didn't matter that they were in no conference at all, they played pushover teams just as much as any team in a conference did.

You do realize that some of those teams, particularly Navy and I believe Purdue, were actually powers in cfb when Notre Dame first started playing them, right? Air Force, while never a power, is rarely a pushover and neither is Navy even today.

There are plenty of things to criticize the Domers for, but their scheduling practices aren't one of those things.

Obviously under-achieving Texas is gonna vote against Oklahoma.

Texas has Oklahoma head-to-head.
Notre Dame has Texas head-to-head
Notre Dame has Oklahoma head-to-head.

None of the series is quite the Texas UTTER DOMINATION of Nebraska, but onesided enough to help make decisions.

Head to Head tends to get ignored.

If they get credit for leather helmets and red phosphates at halftime, they get credit for all this shit too.

Regardless, I believe Alabama, Oklahoma, USC, and Notre Dame are in their own tier for being the most storied programs.

The second tier would be Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska, Texas, Tennessee, Penn State.

Third tier would be FSU, Miami FL, Georgia Tech, Florida, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Stanford, UCLA.

After that, its pretty much a wash. But the top 4 all have arguments for most storied. On and off the field. And in between the lines. Tradition, pageantry, and championships. The brand name. Great coaches. Historic games.

Damnit I love college football. When is kickoff?
