Which is it? You are ranking teams based on how they look, or on their resume?

Oh yeah, because your #19 Memphis team that has beaten FCS Missouri St, Kansas and their 3 point win over Bowling Green are better wins.

And Florida with their wins over New Mexico St, ECU and a 5 pt win over Kentucky is also better.

Yeah, those are better than Alabama's resume. Sure.

If it was just a matter of you leaving off Missouri and putting in 1 of those teams @ #25 it would be a different story. But that's not what you have done.
I didn't tank mizzou... you did. I rank based on resume. That's why they aren't ranked. You rank based on the eye test apparently yet still ranked Missouri

What part don't you follow 4D? I'm happy to explain why I have every team ranked where I do. As to computers I don't really care because computer polls start with different baselines for each team bases on preseason sos. They aren't any better than human polls at this point. In fact they're worse because the limited data isn't enough to negate the preseason bias

Oregon and Alabama not being ranked is wrong. Alabama does have a quality win with Wisconsin. It's impossible to rank using his logic at this point. Not many teams schedule multiple quality teams and those teams they schedule must schedule multiple quality teams in the first three weeks.
Pretty much spot on. It's also why teams that play better schedules as the year progresses will be ranked higher. I don't know why anyone cares about the system I use. It's just the way I like doing it and it has a guideline. It's not just eye test aka opinion

So if Oregon completes one pass they are ranked top 3

But they missed that pass so not top 25.

One missed WR going from great to trash. Dang. Harsh man.
Oregon. Lost. Fact. Ads to they have no good wins and their wins have come against teams with no good wins and add to that Oregon is allowing 35 ppg to those teams. Alabama has an argument to be ranked. Oregon does not. If you beat Utah this week I'll revisit.

Since you are weighing teams on who they beat and where, I'm interested in how A&M got to #9. I'm an Aggie homer and don't even rank us that high. ASU basically at home is our only quality opponent.

Please consider placing A&M in the 17-20 range please

I'm with 4D on this, Alabama is still a top 10 team and would beat over half the teams in the top 10
I agree. They just don't have a top 10 or a top 25 resume. If I were ranking team I thought were best I'd have Bama ahead of Ole Miss. Not the way you rank teams though. It's supposed to be result based

I still consider TAMU to have a neutral site win. I know it wasn't a true neutral site win but it still counts. That win alone is enough to have them top 10 since they are unbeaten especially since it was against a P5 team

The real polls, where Oregon has been ranked for 7 straight years in the top 25 and been rewarded with major bowls and opps for NCs is all that matters.

Not random thoughts from some dude in iowa

They lost a close road game to a top team in your opinon. What has Temple done in comparison? What the hell has Memphis done? You dont have Alabama ranked but you said in another thread that you thought Alabama was 14-17 points better than the team that beat them.

I do think Bama is better but I don't rate teams based on my opinion. Ole miss won. Temple has a P5 win and a win on the road. Same for Memphis. These teams are ranked NOW but are highly unlikely to stay there because their schedule won't allow it. Once again it's week 3. If YOU want to rank a team with a loss and no good wins like Oregon then go for it. I'm just not going to yet.
