I am. I’m going all in. Batum is underrated and walker is a legit star pg that I’m missing.

I love Kemba.

But, he only has one year left on his deal.

Jamal is a better shooter and still on a rookie deal.

Batum makes 30 million a year.

He averaged 12, 5 and 5.

The pick is what makes this such a bad deal.

But, that's mostly because I'm factoring in real life.

They did the same thing last year to get Trey Lyles and that pick turned out to be Donovan Mitchell.

Salary doesn't have to match exactly, right?

I thought they only had to be within 75-80 %.....

Do we have to take it into account?

Then milsap and batum come off the books and I can reload.

I started this mock with 5 PFs on the roster. I turned 2 guys who didn’t help Denver into the room to add a clearly positive player at a position of need. Even if overpaid. With Lyndon and Lyles I can move manimal and not blink. This was the big fa move they needed but couldn’t make cause they were capped out either way.

Yeah, that's the thing, if I was going to max out Jokic now, I couldn't have done this.

But since I'm in charge, I'm sitting Jokic down like the Pistons did with Drummond and saying "dude, we love you. We wanna max the shit out of you. But we want to wait a year so I can add to your supporting case and make this team even better."

Right now I plan on keeping Barton as my 6th man since his versatility is a nice fit for the roster.

Correct. Not sure the percentage but it does not have to be exact. I know it has to be closer than what we currently have though.
