I thought this was asked, but I can't find the question nor the amswer, so I apologize if this has to be repeated.

Are we getting the players in their prime or this year's version? I saw something about plugging it into a video game and simming. If that's the case, is it just 1 season or are we doing a few seasons to factor in youth and budding superstars?

Pretty sure it's this years version. It's as if you are the GM of a team in present time.

Building to become the best team possible. We'll vote on 2 different scenarios:

1) Best overall team as is
2) Best team 3 years from now (aka best future team)

And also have a vote of which 8 teams from each conference would make the playoffs, etc.

The 2K simulation thing is possible, but that would be a little later down the road after the voting.
