It's $3m

Rodon's contract - as it turns out this year - is like hitting a $30-40 million lottery for $3 million in lottery tickets. Next year he's likely gone with Boras as his agent - I don't think the Sox pay that with Kopech waiting in the wings and Lance Lynn probably much more reasonably priced.

Giolito looks fantastic today (granted it's the Orioles). Need some runs for him.

After 52 games the Sox are at 32-20. Last year in the 60 game season the Sox were at 35-25. With 8 games to go to the 60 game mark - I'd say this team has a good chance to beat last year's team's pace.

"“I’ve never seen anybody — I’ve seen some — that never throw an at-bat away,” manager Tony La Russa said of Madrigal. “That man does not throw an at-bat away ever, and that’s to our benefit.”"

BRILLIANT!!

We should be lucky he’s aware of the obvious, at least.

His postgame pressers are so brutal. He looks like he was sleeping in a dumpster and the Sox slapped a uniform on him and told him to go speak to reporters.

All of that being said, he is the manager as the team is playing well without two of its most important players. He is a bozo, but he deserves some sort of credit.
