There are ups and downs in a career. He hasn't been a Cy Young candidate like last year, but he still sports an ERA under 4 and a 1.1 WHIP. Still a "good" year for a pitcher. It's not always going to be a Cy Young caliber season. He could still finish with an extremely respectable year. I'm not worried about him. He had a stellar July after his first start was rough. Shit happens. I’m hoping he does well of course, but perhaps this season will allow the Sox to save a few pennies.
They play the Sox tough every year. Never easy with them.
I know, this year in particular they have been especially tough. Still, this is one of the bottom dwellers of the league, who we should be beating on at least a semi regular basis. And we're failing to take advantage of Cleveland continuing to lose.
