I agree. Before tonight, he was living on a thin line. I'm surprised his ERA is still 0.

Also meh to the idea Anderson being out isn’t changing things...God are we that removed from reality that the AL batting champ is just no big deal being out...

I mean, when his replacement has been our best hitter... I mean, it's just hard to say Tim would be hitting better than Leury has been. I believe he was hitting .326 with a .383 OBP going into tonight. A .941 OPS. Higher than TA has ever had. He's already accumulated 1 win above replacement in just 12 games.

I'm not saying we don't want/need Tim long-term. I'm just saying that Tim's replacement has been killing it at the plate and has been a breath of fresh air defensively as well. We certainly ain't struggling offensively because of no Tim. We have enough guys in the lineup who swing and miss a ton. At least, most of them not named Abreu walk a lot.

This is also your weekly reminder that batting average is a borderline useless stat.

The Chicago "High Anxiety" White Sox - shut out the Indians.

We know the Sox big hitters will get hot again, but good teams find a way to win and the Sox are getting big time help from Leury Garcia and Adam Engle - two roster utility guys. I love them.

I've already proven - I take "winning ugly" over losing. Go Sox!
