meh he is too soft for my liking. the wings need to get somebody with a more physical presence

Kronwall is the physical presence. Adding another one would be fine though. At this point the LIDSTROM decision has become quite crucial to the Wings offseason plans.

I've heard a lot of Wiz talk too, he's a Canton boy and a pretty well rounded player. Also no one else on the Wings speaks sign language...

Kronwall is a physical presence, but it basically boils down to one gigantic hit every ten regular season games, and every other playoff game. The Wings at the moment don't have anyone who can play regular minutes and do the dirty work in front of the crease and in the corners, outside of Stuart.

I would prefer to see Rafalski replaced by someone with good puck movement skills, but a meaner back end is always nice too.

Right now there is no one out there who can step in and fill Rafalski's shoes from a free agency standpoint, but there are enough options that if Lidstrom comes back and we can ditch Scarecsson, we should be able to plug holes sufficiently.

I have no problem with something like this:

Lidstrom-Kaberle/Wiz
Stuart-Kronwall
Kindl-UFA

The one problem with Wiz is he takes chances & gets out of position at times. The Wings just saved 6 million bucks. If they really want too they can kill two birds with one stone by signing Christian Erhoff away from Vancouver.

If I was Ehrhoff Id have to look seriously at the Isles if they offered me 6 years for at least $7 million per

I don't think they'll go that high. I think 6 million per is what they would offer. Streit has two years left at 4.1. He's the highest paid defenseman on the team. The biggest bargain is Andrew MacDonald at 500 grand per for the next few years. The cap isn't a problem, but they need to add a Center as well.

Erhoff
Streit
MacDonald
Hamonic
Jurcina
Eaton
Mottau
With De Haan & Matt Donovan fighting it out for the 8th spot. Of course they could bring back Gervais.:L

No thanks we got a 34 goal scorer for nothing last year. Let me know when Carter does something in the playoffs.

Yeah, well....this guy is gone and you'll need a proven scorer to replace him, soooo...give us a call....I'm sure there is something that can be worked out.

Gee I'm not sure how the Isles will replace him. I mean he had such a great season. How many games did he play in again? Oh yeah, NONE.

I'm the only hockey fan in my family who IS NOT a Flyers fan. Guess what their opinion of Carter is the same as most on the Flyers board on this site. They want him sent packing too. It takes a lot to piss off my mom, but Jeff Carter has done just that for two consecutive playoffs.

Besides Flyers management loves him. I mean they wouldn't have given him that big extension if they didn't. I guess you & the rest of Flyers Nation are going to have to live with the fact that he isn't going anywhere.:D:
