True story about Pavarotti. One time on Carson (way before Leno et al) Pavarotti was asked by Carson if he ever thought of doing any modern pop music. Pavarotti said he had thought about it and when asked by Carson whose songs he would do Pavarotti said The Doors because he really liked Jim Morrison's voice...thought with training Morrison would have made a good opera singer.

That's pretty awesome. I wonder if any opera singers have ever covered Doors songs to see what it would have sounded like if Morrison had received such training.
