Can you imagine getting a big stop on 3rd and 5 late in the 4rth and get a 15 yrd penalty for this?
Or better yet - instead of Tackling Cam week one , just go in there and grab him. I’m sure that will turn out well for us.

I love football too much to just quit watching it. I mean I don’t need the big hits to keep me interested but I’m not sure how the defense can really play any more.

There should be a penalty for purposely driving a QB hard into the ground. You all know the difference between that and a typical sack in which the defender and the QB go down with the natural momentum of the hit.
Now this is the part the NFL just does not get. And they make this mistake every year.
Just because you have 2 different plays, one of which you want to make a penalty ...that does not mean it won't be insanely hard to implement the rule in real time.
The NFL just seems to ignore how hard it is for Refs to make these distinctions on game day.
